Adjustable Air Suspension compressor was failing causing the sensor to trigger overheating fault. The Audi A8 of the s brought the car manufacturer to the forefront of the foreign luxury car market in the United States. While providing an excellent ride, like all air suspensions it has proven to suffer from longevity issues.
The A8s from this time had several common issues that affected its suspension performance. This module is actually a small computer that reads electronic signals from the sensors.
Then it determines how much air pressure is needed at each shock. Like all electronic parts, the control module is prone to the occasional software issue or malfunction. This might cause the the air springs to over or under-inflate. In turn, this can cause extra stress on the other suspension components. The air springs used to cushion the ride need to be made of a flexible material.
Over tens of thousands of miles, these often plastic and rubber components bear the full weight of the car. They are destined to wear out at some point, and usually well before themile mark.
If kept in a very cold or very dry environment, these air springs may wear out even sooner. Your A8 uses air lines made of flexible plastic or rubber tubing to carry pressurized air from the compressor to the air springs. These materials are prone to being nicked or cut.
No matter where you live, road debris is just a part of the life of a driver. This problem is very easy to overlook. However, it will cause the compressor to work overtime to keep the air springs inflated. This will cause early failure in the compressor if left untreated. The pressurized air used to pump up your air springs is generated by a small compressor under the hood of your Audi A8. This compressor is itself a small engine made up of tiny moving parts. Like all moving parts, it will eventually wear out.
Furthermore, when other parts of the air suspension start to fail it is usually the compressor that picks up the slack. This makes them prone to failing before they are supposed to.
This method is usually very expensive. It may seem tempting to spend just a few hundred dollars here to replace one of the air struts and hold on to that air ride. However, as they are built on an interconnected system, once one component starts to go, the others are sure to follow.
With a Strutmasters Audi A8 4 Wheel conversion kit, you can divorce yourself from that troublesome air suspension for good by replacing it with a brand new extra-sturdy coilover suspension. Like all Strutmasters kits, this one is specially tuned for your Audi A8. Best of all, it costs a fraction of the price. Call an Expert To Top. Thread Rating: 0 Vote s - 0 Average 1 2 3 4 5. Reputation: 0. Hi, We have a problem with a Audi Q7 3. When the vehicle is stationary the air suspension operates perfectly. Upon driving all is well until you slow down to less than 15mph whether that be by braking or engine braking gearing downat this point the air suspension fault light begins flashing.
This clears if you switch the vehicle on and off until you drive and slow again. There are no obvious problems with the functionality of the air suspension, it operates seamlessly when the vehicle is stationary and the fault light is off.
We have tested the wiring, checked for leaks, exchanged all ride height sensors and the valve block from a known good car which did not alter the fault.
I have also reconditioned the compressor assembly by installing a new piston ring and renewing the desiccant in the drier. Reputation: This has however had no effect, the fault remains the same.
Did you find solution? I have thisame problem. If i help just say thanks, I always trying to help how I can but sometimes I need more help then I can give.

Audi Q7 02645 - Valves for Level Control System Mechanical Malfunction
I'm away at work at the moment and one of the lads is having a problem he can't get an answer on: He has a 57 plate Q7 with air suspension. At the moment he can cyle through all the ride height settings but the NSF drivers front won't move an inch. All other corners go up and down, NSF nothing. He's had a disgnostic on it and has been told "its a sensor". Before he takes it to Audi I thought I'd ask on here, anyone got any idea's?
Thanks in advance. K13 ASJMar 3, Could be a sensor or the air valve leaking. Is that side lower than any others or its stuck at its current height? ScottD3Mar 3, It is sitting lower on that corner.
On MMI its set on comfort mode but the nsf is sitting lower than the others. If he changes the settings on the MMI suspension modes, all others go up and down. There is also a amber suspension light that flashes on and off after driving around yards. My only experience with air suspension is on a tourage. It had the same issue of sitting low on one side and it was the valves. They started to slowly leak and got worse over time, had the errors on the dash as well. The sensors was fine this time.
You should be able to hear it leaking but if you spray some soaping water on the valves you can tell by the bubbles. You must log in or sign up to reply here. Show Ignored Content. In the online world, where getting lots of attention means cash in the bank, it is getting increasingly difficult to even get your target market to notice you. Not only do you have to compete with large companies that have strong marketing departments, but you also have to compete with social media and many other distractions. However, this does not mean your online marketing efforts have to be over the top, or cost you tons of money to get you in front of your prospective buyers.
Creating a LinkedIn group is absolutely free, and it enables you to give your target market and other professionals in your industry a useful and engaging resource to go to. This, in turn, provides you with a way to drive traffic to your website and increase your sales. As well, you can use your group as a venue for your members to network online.
However, you must be careful not to make hard sales to your group. They may become leery about doing business with you. You will have to put in a lot of time and effort to get your LinkedIn group up and running, but the benefits will be well worth it.
